What is speak up

BDO Egypt is required to comply with local laws and regulation and the principles of the Code of Ethics issued by the International Ethics Standards Board of accountants (IESBA). In accordance with those principles, if you are a partner, staff member or contractor working for BDO Egypt and you become aware of, or suspect matters which you consider are in breach of these obligations, we encourage you to report these in accordance with our firm’s policies.


The matters which may be reported using this service generally are:

  • Suspected breaches of the Code of Ethics, including failure to carry out work with due care, competence and in accordance with the relevant legal and regulatory standards
  • Suspicions of theft or fraud
  • Risks to the health or safety of any person
  • Substance abuse
  • Environmental damage
  • Bullying, harassment or discrimination
  • Suspicions of breaches of local laws or regulations including bribery or corruption or breaches of anti-money laundering requirements
  • Other matters which may impact on the reputation of the BDO Egypt.

Please include as much detail as possible of the circumstances which have given rise to your concerns, including any actions you have already taken to bring this to the attention of BDO Egypt to which it relates and/or any other persons you have made aware of your concerns.
